Agent-based Scan – Requirements for macOS

The following requirements should be met before installing the Single Host Agent on an Intel/arm based macOS machine:

  • Supported Systems:

    • 10.8 Mountain Lion
    • 10.9 Mavericks
    • 10.10 Yosemite
    • 10.11 El Capitan
    • 10.12 Sierra
    • 10.13 High Sierra
    • 10.14 Mojave
    • 10.15 Catalina
    • 11 Big Sur
    • 12 macOS Monterey
    • 13 macOS Ventura
    • 14 macOS Sonama
    • 15 macOS Sequoia

  • Administrator privileges at minimum (‘root’ privileges required for the installation)

  • Internet Connection – SSL 443/TCP to https://*.secunia.com/
  • The user installing the Agent must have 'execute' permissions on the file (chmod +x)

To install and scan Mac Agent in Mac OS Big Sur and above with ARM Architecture, you need to install Rosetta software. softwareupdate --install-rosetta
